Hello, it’s me again – Scylla. I thought you’d like to know how I’m getting on with this life on the road. Spoiler: I’m very happy with it.
Morning matters
My day starts the same way every time – out the door first thing. Once I’ve sorted my business, it’s breakfast at half seven. No need for a clock, I know when it’s coming. After that I curl up and snore while my humans pretend to be busy.
Late morning fun

This is when I’m at my sharpest. Tug-of-war? Yes. Wrestling on the floor? Definitely. But the best game of all is searching for treats. They hide them, I find them. Every time. Then it’s time for a proper walk – woods are my favourite, so many smells I don’t know where to start.

Afternoon snooze
Dinner’s at half four, don’t keep me waiting. Afterwards, I’m flat out. Full belly, heavy eyes, happy Labrador.

Evening rights

Quick stroll, then sofa. Always Dad’s side. I stretch out, he huffs and puffs, but he never moves me. Pack rules.
Beach days

This is paradise. I sprint until my legs wobble, splash in the waves, roll in the sand. Sometimes I just flop down and breathe it all in – salt air, seaweed smells, warm sun. If I had my way, we’d never leave.

Travel days

Different, but I’ve cracked the code. Walk first, breakfast second, brain games third. Then into my harness and clipped to the seat belt. Not glamorous, but safe. We stop often – plenty of chances to stretch, sniff, and leave my calling card. Best of all, they find forests on the way. Top marks.
My special pad
In towns and pubs they bring my Highlands pad. It’s like my personal VIP pass. Soft, warm, good for my hips. Everyone else sits on hard chairs, I’ve got my own bed. Tell me who’s winning?

Life on the Road
My pack is with me all the time. I’ve got routines, sofa rights, a travelling bed, beaches to race on and woods to wander. Honestly? This is the life I was made for.

That’s my month – beaches, woods, sofa rights and plenty of naps. How do your dogs fit into your daily rhythm? I’d love to hear. 🐾
